Here at Android Central, we want to help. We'll be using this space to let you know about the latest gaming releases for Android that we think deserve your attention. We'll be checking in and updating this page weekly as new games are released, so refresh often!

The Elders Scrolls: Legends — Heroes of Skyrim

Jump back into Tamriel and the province of Skyrim in The Elders Scrolls: Legends — Heroes of Skyrim.

Apparently, Bethesda is not done milking Skyrim — a game that's over 5 years old now — releasing a new mobile card battling game in the style of Hearthstone except set in the universe of The Elders Scrolls.

I got into playing Hearthstone way late but I still had fun learning the game mechanics and whatnot, so I'm pretty excited to get in on this new game at the ground floor. There's a few ways to play, as you would expect: a story mode that teaches you the ropes and lets you earn new Legend cards, decks, and packs, and a draft mode where you build a deck and take on computer opponents. If you think you're ready, test your decks against your friends or challenge online opponents in ranked battles.

The play area is split down the middle, creating two lanes for you to play cards to attack or defend. It adds a new layer of strategy to a tried and tested style of mobile game.

Adventure Time Run

Adventure Time is in its ninth and final season and is still winning over fans young and old since debuting way back in 2010. Which means we get licensed games like Adventure Time Run, an endless runner (as you would expect) that does a good job of throwing in some gameplay variety but is hampered by too much going on in the menu system.

While you'd probably expect this to be a direct rip of off Temple Run Adventure Time Run keeps things fresh with an episodic structure and three gameplay styles to swap between — a traditional straightforward endless runner, a chasing sequence where you're dodging things being thrown at you, and sections where you're advancing and attacking enemies.

If this were a true endless runner where you just jump in and see how far you'd get it would be near perfect — as an Adventure Time fan, the game has captured the color and animations pretty well — but instead you're limited by your slowly dwindling HP and must grind away to upgrade your characters and stats.

Still, it's worth checking out for young and old fans of Adventure Time.

Shadow Fight 3

There's a number of great fighting games for Android, with Shadow Fight 2 standing out from the crowd as a really smooth fighter featuring silhouetted fighters playing in front of beautifully rendered backgrounds.

For the sequel, the developers at NEKKI have essentially taken the game out of the shadows with the characters now rendered in brilliant 3D. The animation and action is still butter smooth, but now it's got the outstanding graphics to match.

The game has been soft-launched in some markets before its global release on November 16, but if you're fortunate enough to get a chance to play it in early release you won't be disappointed. This is a story-driven fighting game with a full storyline to play through, along with a skills tree that lets you really customize your fighting style.

We can't wait until the game is fully released in November!
